My six-year-old loves that the paint pots are already mixed and ready to go, so she can start painting right away. The cat design has just enough detail to keep her busy for an hour, but not so much that she gets frustrated. Definitely a fun twist on a classic art project.

The canvas is a nice thick cardstock that holds up well to my six-year-old’s enthusiastic brush strokes, and the paint pots actually stay put on the table. She loved mixing the blues and greens to make her own version of that cubist cat.

My daughter is usually done with a kit in 20 minutes, but she spent over an hour layering the angular shapes on this canvas. The paint pots are a decent size and the kid-friendly instructions actually made the cubist cat easy to follow.
