I was really impressed with the tutorial on blending layers for that glowy sky effect—it made the whole painting look so much more realistic than my usual attempts. The birch tree technique was surprisingly easy to follow, and my final piece actually looked like a snowy winter scene.
The snowy landscape came to life once I figured out the layer blending for the sky, and the birch tree technique was surprisingly simple to master. My son felt like a real artist creating the cardinal against the winter scene.
The birch tree technique was so much easier to follow than I expected, and it made the branches look totally realistic. Watching the red cardinal pop against the soft, glowy sky I blended was incredibly satisfying for a beginner like me.
