My 8-year-old was mesmerized watching the sunset colors blend together in the tutorial; the paint included has such a nice, smooth consistency. She loved cutting out the paper buildings to make her own glowing skyline.
The instructions for blending the sunset sky are clear enough that my daughter did it mostly on her own, which was a nice confidence boost. She added a few too many yellow lights to her skyline, but that's more about her taste than the kit's fault.
My eight-year-old loved blending the sunset colors, but the tiny brush made painting the building lights more fiddly than expected. Still, the glowing city effect looked amazing once it dried.
