My daughter was struggling with drawing 3D shapes until we worked through the castle painting together—turning those triangles into cones actually clicked for her. The pastel colors are really dreamy and the highlights lesson makes the finished piece look professional.
My daughter was so excited to paint the fairytale castle, and the pastel colors really popped on the paper. The tips on turning shapes into 3D forms actually helped her draw a better cylinder than I could manage.
The instructions for shading cylinders and cones actually made sense to my seven-year-old, and she followed them without my help. The pastel castle turned out lovely, though I wish the kit included a slightly larger paper sheet for the background.
