I was really impressed with the tutorial on blending layers for that glowy sky effect—it made the whole painting look so much more realistic than my usual attempts. The birch tree technique was surprisingly easy to follow, and my final piece actually looked like a snowy winter scene.

The snowy landscape came to life once I figured out the layer blending for the sky, and the birch tree technique was surprisingly simple to master. My son felt like a real artist creating the cardinal against the winter scene.
